These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Carpool-Q, a carpool coordination application operated by Digital-X LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using Carpool-Q, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
Carpool-Q is a scheduling and coordination tool that helps families organize shared rides. We provide the platform — you and your carpool members are responsible for the actual transportation arrangements. Carpool-Q does not provide transportation services, and we are not a party to any carpool arrangement between users.
2. Accounts
To use Carpool-Q, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials secure
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Providing accurate information in your profile
- Notifying us if you suspect unauthorized access to your account
You must be at least 18 years old to create a subscriber account. Child accounts (view-only) may be created by a parent or legal guardian and are subject to parental oversight.
3. Subscription and Billing
Carpool-Q is a paid service at $1.99 per month, billed monthly through Stripe. New accounts receive a 14-day free trial.
- Your subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel
- You can cancel anytime from the Settings page — access continues until the end of your billing period
- We do not offer refunds for partial months
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers
4. Family Sharing
Each subscription includes family sharing: one additional adult member with full access, and unlimited child accounts with view-only access. The subscriber is responsible for all family members added to their plan. If the subscriber cancels, all linked family members lose access.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Carpool-Q for any purpose other than coordinating carpool rides
- Share your account credentials with anyone outside your household
- Attempt to access other users' data or accounts
- Interfere with the service's operation or other users' experience
- Use automated tools to access or scrape the service
- Upload harmful content, malware, or spam
6. Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you create in Carpool-Q (carpool details, schedules, notes, profile information). By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content as necessary to operate the service.
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter. Carpool-Q is a coordination tool — verify important details (pickup times, driver assignments) directly with your carpool members.
7. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.
8. Limitation of Liability
Carpool-Q is a scheduling tool, not a transportation provider. We are not responsible for:
- The safety, reliability, or conduct of any driver or passenger
- Any accident, injury, or loss that occurs during a carpool ride
- Missed pickups or schedule errors resulting from incorrect data entry
- Service interruptions due to technical issues, maintenance, or circumstances beyond our control
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Carpool-Q and Digital-X LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.
Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Digital-X LLC, its officers, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your carpool arrangements.
10. Service Availability
We strive to keep Carpool-Q available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may temporarily suspend the service for maintenance, updates, or technical issues. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of planned downtime.
11. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at carpoolq.app@gmail.com. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with notice where practicable.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice in the app or sending an email to your registered address. Continued use of Carpool-Q after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Maricopa County, Arizona.
